What store is best for inexpensive, great-looking home decorating?
January 13, 2009
I am decorating my house for the first time and I am looking for something to mount on the wall to hang coats. I also need to purchase an area rug, curtains, and wall sconces. Is there a one stop shop or any recommendations? I don’t want cheap quality.

Old Time Pottery. Great stuff.
Or try consignment store. One here in Dayton, OH called Home 2 Home. Have good stuff, cheap price.
Inexpensive?? mmm
To be honest thrift stores such as ARC/Goodwill.I enjoy these stores very much. Also a good resource is in this link, don’t overlook the free stuff.Another thought is yard/garage sales, they are fun too.
Every time I go shopping people seem to see overcharge to me,just kidding.
My Best
I work for Home Decorators Collection, and we carry all of that. I can vouch for the quality of the products, and it’s pretty affordable for what you get:
You can also search the outlet site for better bargains. It’s new merchandise — it’s just being liquidated:
Try LTD Commodities.

Home Goods
Linnens n things
Sears
Jc Penny
Kohls
Definitely IKEA!! You can view their new 2009 catalog online.
For area rugs, I go to only one place — I’ve bought several area rugs there and am very satisfied with the product and service.
