Tony, you are a real professional and a great teacher. Thanks for the video. If it is not too much trouble, could you help me find some trianing on boilers and hydronic heating. I am a HVAC contractor in Northern California and many commercail buildings have hydronic heating and boilers. I know that boilers can be dangerous in the wrong hands and I want to know what I’m doing.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

You should be cleaning the inside of the fitting and the outside of the pipe…good job otherwise

Pretty cool Tony, I never heard about the tranny fluid deal but the man I used to work w\, R.I.P., told me about the bread trick. I noticed you dint mention, that after cutting pipe, ream it carefully to remove burrs & the inner lip created during cutting, not so that it flares out the pipe however. Did you say M pipe is for “heat” ? What do you mean ? Folks, flux has 2 functions, cleaner & by capillary action pulls the solder into the joint towards the heat. Thanx for this vid Tony.

Great video, awsome job on the pipe. I realize you are just doing a demo, but can you do one side of a fitting then come back and do the other side after the pipe has cooled? Or should you always do both sides (all three for a tee) on the same pass?

The transmission fluid trick is an excellent tip. I’m a do-it-yourselfer and I’ll have to give it a try on the next project. Thank you Tony!
